Welcome to John Craig Stevens, DDS dental clinic. We are conveniently located right in Sutter Hill. Dr. Stevens knows that dental health is not just about white smiles: it’s about having strong teeth and healthy gums. It’s about prolonging the simple joy of eating delicious things! Our mission is to help our patients accomplish these goals in a painless, compassionate, and efficient way.
We aim to educate our patients in a safe environment while offering them necessary comprehensive care. We understand that many people have anxiety about dental treatment, so we created a soothing environment and a scheduling system that never keeps you waiting long. Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Dr. Stevens at the age of 13 knew after his 1st orthodontist appointment that his calling was dentistry. Dr. Stevens’ educational path to become a dentist began at UCSB, where he earned his Bachelor Degree in Zoology. From there, he went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from UOP in 1995. After graduation, he joined the US Navy as a Dental Officer. He spent three wonderful years stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. He has proudly been helping patients in Amador and Calaveras Counties at his Sutter Creek office since 2000.
Dr. Stevens is a member of the ADA, CDA and Amador Dental Study Club. He is always pursuant on staying up to date on new technologies and treatment, so he can provide the best dental care for his patients. He has been voted #1 dentist in Amador County for the past 2 years in a row. Every year Dr. Stevens is dedicated to volunteering at Sutter Creek Elementary School, screening incoming kindergartners. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his loving family and friends, kayaking and golfing.
